My American High School.

How was it?
My classes
For my exchange year, Central High School was my host school. Saint Paul Central High School is the state's oldest high school in the United States. Central High School, founded in downtown Saint Paul in 1866, has taught many leaders in commerce, government, literature, arts, sciences, and education throughout Minnesota and the United States. It is also one of the state's largest high schools.
Since I was in 10th grade at my Uzbek school, I was a sophomore there. I took seven classes: AP Computer Science, Broadcast Journalism, IB/DP Russian 4, AP US History, English 10 Accelerated, Russian 1 (TA), and Accelerated Chemistry.
All of my classes were fantastic, but my favorites were AP Computer Science, AP US History, and Broadcast Journalism.
We learnt Java programming language in APCS class by creating games and apps, working in groups, solving problems together, and preparing for the AP Exam.
We spent a lot of time in APUSH watching documentaries, playing Trivia, and creating historical memes. I completely changed my viewpoint after attending this class since I now have a greater understanding of both US and world history.
Every day in Broadcast Journalism, we were making news for the entire school. I really enjoyed Wednesday shows since we were creating our videos in small groups and putting them all into one.
Furthermore, I enjoyed going to school and making new friends every day. All of my teachers were influential in my personal development. The experience of attending an American high school has significantly shaped me as a person. I'll never forget it, and I'll remember every lunch joke, every "well done" comment from my teachers, every person and every day...
Additionally, I participated in cheerleading in the winter and fall and became a JV team captain as an exchange student for the first time in Central HS Athletics history. I've competed in a few contests, including the National Russian Essay Competition, where I won first place among native speakers in the United States and eventually became a world winner. I was also one of the top students in my English class, thus I received the certificate "The Biggest Risk Taker in English."
